One Breath, One Movement,One Brush Stroke

One Breath, One Movement,One Brush Stroke
One Breath, One Movement, One Brushstroke on Sunday January 28th offers an insightful way to connect body, mind and spirit with breath, movement and brush work. We will be using the body like a brush and moving through space as if painting on canvas.

How the workshop will unfold:
First part of the workshop, Julie Moffat will lead us though an opening meditation followed by the magical Primordial Qigong form to center the breath, and engage the body and mind.
Second part of the workshop, Lorelei Chang will thread through the form with playful “Qi” circle to connect with the brush work of Chinese calligraph; combining two art forms into one.
Third part of the workshop, Lorelei will give hands-on experience with traditional Chinese calligraphy, teaching basic strokes that explore the Qi flow through the brush. This process channels creativity, challenges nonjudgmental mind, and encourages a playful attitude!
