Saturday, November 18, 2017, 10:30am-12:30pm This workshop is designed by Lorelei Chang. It offers an insightful way to connect mind, body, and spirit with breath, brush, and movement. Using her unique skills, Lorelei combines the art form of Chinese Calligraphy, ancient Qigong breath work, and flowing movement in this workshop. It consists of breathe work incorporated into a slow Qigong form, using the body as a brush and moving through space as if painting on canvas. Students will also have hands-on experience working with Lorelei on traditional Chinese calligraphy, learning basic strokes. As a highlight of the grand opening of the Green Tea House, students will have an opportunity to create their own “character” to bring home. This process channels creativity, challenges nonjudgmental mind, and encourages playful attitude in life. Green Tea House is considering offering this workshop for their cultural enrichment program in the near future. Please stay tuned for details. Hope to see you at the event. |
